Lakewood Home Builders was the best choice for our large addition project. John Stageberg worked with us during the architect and pricing process and help us to realize our dream home. Once the project started, Lance Rittenhouse had the patience to work out the many challenges that arise with this kind of large project. He patiently dealt with issues, coordinated schedules and kept us in the loop during the whole process. We have worked with other contractors, and the most frustrating part is lack of communication, with no return calls or missed expectations. LAKEWOOD works very hard to keep the customer in the loop, and they even recommended some great solution to our budget challenges. Highly Recommend LAKEWOOD Home Builders and other family member have hired them for their projects.

Work went very well...we had a very old roof, and the contractor tore it down to the joists, replaced plywood with OSB and pro-rated 50-year shingles as well as matching shingles and new felt on our shed. Total job completed in two days, work site completely cleaned up and new roof is really nice; all stacks were painted after the shingling. After a couple of heavy downpours, the roof has stood up with no issues. Company rep, Tim, was great to work with and very patient with all of our questions and concerns Couldn't ask for a better price.

We ran into a snag at the beginning with the county permit. Lakewood worked at length with an engineering firm and the county to find a viable solution. The extra work they did to find the solution which satisfied both the county requirements and our budget is an excellent example of their willingness to put in whatever time and effort is necessary to satisfy their customers. The rest of the project went well. Lance was our project lead for the Lakewood team, and he came out to the house almost every day to let us know what was going on and to meet with the subcontractors to make sure they were on the right track. Along the way, we decided to make several changes to our design. Lance always supported our desires and provided good communication with everything that was going on. As with any job, the dust is a constant. Lakewood worked to minimize it as much as possible. Lance ensured that the subcontractors cleaned up every day. He even brought in a cleaning team to provide thorough, deep cleaning twice during the three months the interior of our house was under construction. The other members of Lakewood supported us as well. Tim managed the windows and siding while John worked with us on the cabinetry and the financial efforts for the additional work we asked for. We truly enjoyed working with each of them. They consistently responded promptly to all our emails and texts. They each proved to be professional, courteous, and very interested in doing an excellent job. We are excited with the results in every room of our home, from the kitchen, to the master bath, the laundry room, and our new walk in closets. Our "new" home is a pleasure for us to be in. We highly recommend Lakewood Home Builders, without reservation!
Description of work: Family friends recommended Lakewood Home Builders, to us a while back. They had extensive renovations done to their kitchen and main floor living space, and we loved how their house turned out! Now, several years later, we were finally ready to have work done for our own home improvement project. Like our friends, we were expanding and renovating our kitchen. We were also renovating our master bathroom and closet, adding an upstairs laundry room, and remodeling one of our other bedrooms - overall, a very extensive project. The team at Lakewood made clear from the very beginning that they could handle this large and complex project and that their goal would be client satisfaction. They provided us a fair cost estimate and we signed a contract with them for the work.

Just superb! So quick. Excellent communication and immediate response to my questions. The HOA and inspections took 3 times longer than the deck build from start to finish. The work crew were also courteous and clean.

We contracted Lakewood Home Improvements to renovate the main floor of our home, a project which included the removal of the existing linoleum flooring, wood panel walls, and popcorn ceiling in a living room, a hallway, a bedroom/study, a front closet and hall closet, and a front foyer. They then installed recessed lighting in the living room along withl hardwood floors throughout, installed drywall, installed crown molding, replaced doors, and completed the trim and paint. The job ended up taking two and a half weeks which was exactly what they said it would take and we are extremely pleased with the result. That level of our house has been completely transformed, and the quality of the work is of the highest standard. Lakewood's project management was exemplary in that the electricians, plumbers and other contractors were well coordinated with at least 2 or 3 workers in the house all day every day (with the one exception for the snow day when they left midday). The work team were polite, considerate, and seemed to be happy in their work. At the end of each work day the crew would clean up the site, putting their tools and building materials away so that we could safely walk through the space. We were also really impressed with the way that the Project Manager gave us progress updates almost every day including what we could expect in the next few days. Given the way in which the project was executed, and the quality of the final product I would not hesitate in recommending Lakewood for any home renovation project.;

Description of work: After almost giving up, on having a deck built, a friend suggested someone they had used and was very satisfied with the results. I called LAKEWOOD HOME BUILDERS and was very comfortable with talking with Lakewood. We agreed on a time to meet at the job site, our back yard. He listened to my ideas and concerns, took notes and measurements and had agreed in principle before he left. I had to submit to my HOA and after approval the work started right away. The deck went up within a week and was finalized by the next week or so with the inspections. We are SO pleased and happy with our somewhat unique elevated deck for our main level living home. The 300sf deck is beautiful and exceptionally detailed. They really captured my idea of "not just a deck" but make it special to match the home.
